According to a survey by the FSB confidence amongst UK small businesses in on the rise. Of the 2,137 FSB members surveyed 61% said that they were expecting their business to grow over the coming year with one in ten saying that they thought this growth would be “rapid”.  These positive results make it the 7th consecutive quarter that the FSB small business index survey has been positive.

Does this report reflect your confidence in your business or that of your business network?

It does appear that the economy is on the up with reciprocal rises in consumer confidence, despite this month’s dip in the YouGov consumer confidence survey for August. YouGov’s Household Economic Activity Tracker (HEAT) data points to greater confidence in the workplace with confidence in job security at its highest point since  2009 and expectations for business activity in the the next 12 months at record breaking levels.

There does then seem to be support, coming from many different sources, that support the reports of UK economic recovery. It might be that it is not all spin. Many companies have been holding fast on new ventures and investment waiting for the right time to start, but this time may be upon us.

Is your business ready?
